Luciano Sandrone, whose stunning, polished wines combine structure and finesse, passed away on January 5th after a long battle with cancer. He was 76.

Luciano was above all a lovely, down-to-earth person and family man who influenced generations of winemakers in the Langa. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him and by Barolo lovers around the world.
